Privacy Policy

What we collect

We do not create user accounts or use a dedicated database for conversion inputs. Calculations run in your browser. A measurement included in a link can appear in the requested URL and provider requests; page content may also be processed by the services described below. Standard server logs may include IP address, user agent, and requested URL for security and reliability.

Browser extension (Chrome)

Our MM↔IN Converter Chrome extension collects no personal data and operates offline. Preferences (precision, rounding, default unit) and temporary selection text are stored only on-device via chrome.storage.local and are not synced to your Chrome account.

The extension uses minimal permissions (contextMenus, storage) and, in v1, injects no content scripts. It does not send your inputs to our servers, does not perform telemetry, and does not share data with third parties.

Analytics and advertising

On the production website we load Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Google AdSense when the browser does not report Do Not Track as enabled. These providers can receive information about the browser, page, interaction and network request. Cookies and similar technologies may be used.

Google Analytics records page usage and operations such as conversion, copying, download and print requests. Our operation events contain the tool path, not the entered measurement or clipboard content. This does not mean every provider request is anonymous or that visible page content cannot be processed by another loaded service.

Microsoft Clarity provides interaction and session analysis. Information visible on a page may be included according to its masking configuration. Do not enter confidential measurements or personal information into a public tool.

Google AdSense supplies advertising. Advertising requests and provider cookies depend on provider and browser settings; this policy does not promise that all advertising cookies are blocked.

You can use browser privacy settings, blocking extensions and provider controls. The website skips these three scripts when Do Not Track is enabled; it does not currently offer a separate consent-settings panel.

Cookies

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share aggregate, non-identifying metrics with service providers who help us operate the site (e.g., hosting, analytics) under confidentiality commitments.

Data retention and security

Retention of hosting and third-party provider logs depends on their services and configurations. We do not promise a specific deletion interval for those logs here. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect the service, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product or legal changes. Material updates will be highlighted on this page with a revised date.
